RUNE — formerly known as WHOISRUNE — is a dynamic and talented multi-genre music artist based in Toronto. She mixes ambience and ethereal sounds, with catchy pop structured lyricism.
Her musical journey began at a young age while heavily influenced by early 2000s pop and ’90s Trance/EDM. In her early teens, RUNE started making songs to release on YouTube under a different name as a passion project. Determined to pursue her dreams, she officially launched WHOISRUNE in 2019 with her debut track “Adrenaline.”
Since then, she has made significant strides in her career with the successful release of an EP and 14 singles — which have accumulated over 8 million total streams!
While this new project aligns with her current musical vision, RUNE remains dedicated to creative exploration, refusing to be confined by a single genre. She continues to craft music that is both authentic to her and artistically fulfilling. With this next release, she aims to refine her live performance skills and connect with a broader audience, taking her artistry to the next level. She’s excited to share her new sound and continue reaching for new heights with her music.

With RUNE’s latest release “Depth Perception”, she decided it was time for her to be more authentic to where she wanted to be musically. Rune has decided to expand her electronic ethereal melodies into a genre she loves the most, Metalcore. “Depth Perception is only the beginning of a step I've wanted to make for a long time.
